![]() I used to always get overwhelmingly sleepy every day at the same times of day (11:00am and 4:00pm). ![]() BUT, I have rheumatoid arthritis as well, so I know that some mornings I am stiff due to the weather. Many mornings I feel like I cannot move I am so tired and my whole body feels stiff. I used to sleep walk as a child, I talk in my sleep as an adult. I have gone through my life sleeping well some nights and not at all other nights. Sometimes I have to clean off my pillow from drooling. It takes forever it seems to go back to sleep. I have woken in the night, completely awake. Sorry, I can't offer any answers right now. You are asking about nocturnal episodes.I really want to know more about this topic too. ![]() And so, the name is tonic-clonic epilepsy. I know that I am babbling on-but the more I read, the more I realize that I have had many of the same symptoms all my life that are talked about by others on these forums. Honestly, because of the nomenclature-I always called my "spells" a "seizure disorder". It was always called "fainting spells" or "syncope" even though I was on phenobarbitol and dialantin. It returned intermittently until the age of 40ish, and now it is about 4-5 times a year. I was diagnosed (officially) at 3 months of age and "outgrew" it when I was 11 years old. Hi, I am new to this site and this is the first entry I have made, so I have a lot of questions too. I'm kind of all over the place right now - I'm sorry for that. Should I even bother bringing this up at my EEG appointment? This flailing, moaning - is it representitive of a nocturnal seizure? He says sometimes I cry out which seems odd to me in relation to a seizure - but I have no idea what's right either. We went to the ER and that's when I was told I had had a seizure. When I did wake up I was unresponsive and my face was slack. It's because of this that my husband was waking me up two weeks ago and had difficulty. I do a lot of flailing and moaning in my sleep - it I have an EEG next week to see if I am in fact having seizures.īefore the word was brought up in relation to my health there are a lot of things I didn't know about seizures - like I'm only just educating myself about epilepsy.
